The goldenrod dances gallantly in the cool breeze
as sweet summer fades away
with the abundance of books and pens, my soul stirs
from under the pile of wet swim suits and white sand
that has hidden it from view for weeks at a time.
Anxiously answering questions in my underwear,
a subconscious exam none prepared me for,
flutters in and out of my unpeaceful rest
a sea of homework to come
as summer fades away.
A notebook, a mind - cover to cover with my most intimate thoughts
a companion, free of trouble, except for that which i create
a classroom, empty except for a television, a corded phone, and
a lone body, an individual heart, and a sole vision of summer past
say "salve" to summer.

Summer is officially over. No more sunny moments and flip flops, or tube tank tops with a pair of shorts. Instead, we're now wrapped up in scarfs and jumpers, feeling very blue on grey afternoons. Britain.. how truly "Great" it is.
As winter is approaching, I'm prepared to stay home often. I make it my play time when I can lie in, drink some hot tea, and do some reading in bed. Yes, winter is then seen in a different light. I've learnt to make do with everything around here. Life's too short!
I have not gotten some sleep for almost 24 hours now. Bus ride to Nottingham for the Malaysian games was exhausting and extremely uncomfortable. Nevertheless, I got to see friends from London and Warwick which was really awesome despite the deprivation of solid rest.
praise the Lord for such an eventful weekend and praise Him for winter!
happy winter-ing!
Love out
